I had great inspiration and encouragement from my fellow guild members at our UFO retreat. . It was fun to look at their projects, share ideas, stories and lunch!
Let's just say that at retreat I was seeing a lot of black and white. I made 148 flying geese to go on the border of Orca Bay. I used the
Lazy Girl Flying Geese ruler. I loved that there is now waste in the making of these geese. I really was hoping to get them on the top as well, but I will do that on Wed. So if all goes well the top will be finished tomorrow night. Yeah me!

What is your favourite method of making flying geese?
I love the same method cause it doesn't waste fabric! love your East Street it is really coming along and all that piecing for the border!
ReplyDeleteMy WW blocks are in the mail today.
Nice colours in that quilt. Do you start out with 5 squares for 4 geese? That is my favorite method.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great way to make flying geese. Your quilt looks beautiful - lovely colors - and it will look even better with the flying geese! :) Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! Lee, did my blocks arrive yet?? I think I sent the wrong kind of envelope, and may need to send you some more fat quarters.....just let me know!
