Waiting

Waiting and it is really hard to do.  I was on such a roll finishing up my UFO's, but then guess what?  My machine decided it needed attending to.  So while we wait (impatiently) for it to be fixed.  (something was up when I was FMQing and it would get snagged and not let me go any further.)  Any other stitching was ok., but all I wanted to do was FMQ.

This pile sits and waits.
Don't you love the bottom backing fabric? I found it in the clearance section at my LQS.
It goes with this old UFO:

I miss my machine!

Patiently waiting,

Lee

  1. I hope they will be able to repair your machine and that it comes back home to you soonest! We are helpless without, aren't we?! Mine should have been in for service just after New Year, but.... I needed it to finish some UFO's! :) Love that backing fabric as much as the top! Lovely!

  5. Hope you get your machine back soon. I have a backup or two so I don't have to stop sewing.

  7. I hate it when my machine is in for service. That always seems to be the time when I really want to sew something! And you're right about that backing fabric. It's adorable!

  9. Ah...My "best" machine will be due for service soon too...it's starting to squeak when I do FMQ (and it can't be oiled -- at least, not by me)...so that's when I haul out my "work horse" machine (older and completely manual)...It's good to have backup. Maybe you can rent/borrow while you're waiting?

  11. That backing fabric will be great with that lovely quilt. I feel your pain about having the machine in for service just when you're on an ufo-finishing roll .............
