a cheery finish…

At last the major fundraiser that I organize is over for another year. Well actually it is over for me totally. I am officially retiring from that 'job'. It just takes up too much of my time. So now I have time for my home, family and of course quilting.

I have a few finishes that I would like to share in the coming days. I just didn't have the time or the weather cooperating on my side to get pictures up.

DSC_4543DSC_4544I thought I would be involved in a craft/bake sale with my association on Nov 25th. So I started sewing up a storm. However, it got cancelled due to not enough participants. :( Now I have a few quilts finished and no one to love them.

They were quick tops made from charm squares and solids. Love their bright cheeriness. DSC_4545

They would be great for a sweet little girl. Too bad my girls are too big for these.

Happy Stitching!

  1. Thats too bad that your craft fair got cancelled, although I'm sure you will be able to find someone that will love your quilt you made!
I found you through Chatterbox Quilt's blog (and I'm in Calgary too).

  2. They are lovely! And there will be other opportunities - how about donation to a Children's Hospital?
Sure know what you mean about needing more time while those kids are still at home! But wait, when they're gone, you'll have the time to give to some of those causes!
